Applications Engineering Specialist (On-Site)
Job Summary
Position Summary:
Primary/Essential Responsibilities:
- Determine and document the technical and commercial requirements of the customers application
- Select the appropriate G&W product to meet these requirements
- Develop accurate cost models for both standard and custom equipment
- Determine price levels and lead times
- Partner with customers and our Engineering team to develop custom solutions that satisfy their needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our internal resources and Sales Team
- Provide timely and effective verbal and written communication to our internal resources and Sales Team
- Communicate these requirements to G&Ws internal teams for engineering and manufacturing
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from four-year accredited college Or Engineering Technologist Diploma (3-year program) with relevant experience in the industry
A concentration in Power Engineering is highly desired
- 1 to 3 Years of experience as an applications engineer inside sales or related areas preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Strong computer proficiency
- Experience with JDE and Salesforce software is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure or prior experience with electrical switchgear reclosers SF6 insulated and dielectric switches would be a definite asset.

- General Office Environment PC use

Typical pay is $annually.
