Job Summary
Title: Assistant Football Coach
Qualifications:
- Certificate license or legal credential required.
- Degree(s) required and area of major study
- Kind and amount of prior job experience required.
- Such other qualifications as the Board may deem acceptable and appropriate
Reports To: Head Football Coach Athletic Director
Job Goal: To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship and an increased level of self-esteem.
Performance Responsibilities
- Coach individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sports involved.
- Plans and schedule regular program of practice in season.
- Works closely with theHead Football Coach in scheduling intramural and interscholastic contests.
- Assumes responsibility for enforcement and compliance with all MHSAA regulations
- Provides guidance to high school athletics regarding NCAA recruiting and academic regulations
- Establishes and enforces district physical and academic requirements for eligibility
- Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
- Performs any other tasks as required by the Head Coach Athletic Director Principal Superintendent and/or Superintendents Designee
Terms of Employment: Salary and work year will be established by the Board.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on
Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
