This position reports to:

As an Account Manager you will be responsible for selling low and medium voltage products solutions & services in the Baton Rouge LA trade area in accordance with the greater Industry Buildings & Channel (IBC) strategy. Build long term relationships with targeted contractors distributors consultants & end-users. Manage resolution to specific customer needs & issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities within the construction market.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sells products/systems/services to customers focusing on volume mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.

• Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering and align to provide a solution.

• Prepares sales plans using company tools. Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.

• Collaborate across business lines to help leverage ABBs entire product portfolio.

• Prepares offers in accordance with customer contract documents (plans & specs) and in collaboration with proposal department factory & pricing team.

Job Qualifications:

• BS Degree in mechanical engineering electrical engineering chemical engineering or industrial engineering (or similar) strongly preferred. Candidates without a degree but commensurate experience will also be considered.

• Minimum two years sales experience in electrical industry preferably in commercial industrial and multi-family markets.

• Salesforce experience is preferred

• Experience with technical presentations oral communication abilities in person and over the phone drafting professionally written emails and technical documents is important.

• Ability to travel throughout the Baton Rouge and Southern Louisiana area as needed.

• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
