Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our technology team. This role focuses on designing developing and maintaining Java-based applications and systems that align with the organizations technology and business goals. The Java Developer will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable and maintainable software solutions contributing to Synechrons innovation and operational excellence.
Software Requirements
Required:
Strong proficiency with Java and the Java EE platform.
Experience with web development frameworks such as Spring Hibernate or JSF.
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Understanding of RESTful web services.
Preferred:
Exposure to additional modern Java frameworks and tools that enhance software development efficiency and maintainability.
Overall Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Java-based applications ensuring code is clean maintainable and scalable.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and implement new features or enhance existing functionality.
Participate actively in code reviews to enforce code quality and adherence to industry best practices.
Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruption.
Continuously update knowledge of Java-related technologies and industry trends to incorporate improvements into development processes.

Programming Languages
Required: Java (Java SE and Java EE).
Databases/Data Management
Required: Relational databases and SQL.
Cloud Technologies
Preferred: Familiarity with cloud platforms and services is advantageous but not mandatory.
Frameworks and Libraries
Required: Experience with frameworks such as Spring Hibernate or JSF.
Development Tools and Methodologies
Required: Version control systems (Git).
Required: Agile methodologies (Scrum Kanban).
Security Protocols
Basic understanding of security best practices in application development is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
At least 1 years of professional experience in Java software development.
Demonstrated experience with web development frameworks relational databases and Agile workflows.
Experience working in collaborative team environments and participating in code reviews.
Preferred: Industry experience in IT services financial services or technology sectors.
Alternative qualifying experience includes proven completion of complex Java development projects whether professional or academic.
Day-to-Day Activities
Design develop test and deploy Java-based applications and modules.
Write clean well-documented and efficient code aligned with project specifications.
Collaborate with team members including business analysts QA and other developers to deliver functionalities.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software functionality or performance.
Participate in daily stand-ups sprint planning and retrospective meetings following Agile processes.
Review peer code submissions to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Stay updated on evolving Java technologies and tools through self-learning and training.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience in Java development is preferred to demonstrate sufficient depth of knowledge and skill.
Certifications in Java development or related technologies are a plus.
