Job Description:
We are currently seeking aSenior Associate Production Schedulerto join our team inCulpeper Virginia. You will be a part of our Scheduling and Material Planning team which networks across all departments and plays a key role from proposal to product are looking for a highly analytical self-motivated and organized individual. A successful candidate for this position will have a strong background in MRP/ERP (SAP Oracle). A good understanding loading a Master Production Schedule that supports contractual/sales/program needs. Is able to determine bottlenecks constraints and resource issues through the use of ERP and other capacity analysis tools. Is familiar with BOM structure in a production and new product introduction environment.
Essential Functions:
- Manages Demand (DTS / MPS / OID) in accordance with Master Scheduling standard work.
- Manages and provides dispatch reports to operations areas (Manufacturing Quality and Assembly floor).
- Performs comprehensive schedule assessments and identifies schedule risk at the operation level.
- Responsible for MRP output for their respective programs.
- Works with Operations Integrators and Operations Managers or Supervisors on work orders that are past due and adjusts them accordingly.
- Works with Production Scheduling Supply Chain and Operations to ensure the ERP system is in alignment with production build plans.
- Partners with Program Planners Operations Integrators and Scheduling Integrators to ensure the Master Production Schedule reflects what is in the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Identifies and analyzes discrepancies or gaps between the Program IMS & production status.
- Supports Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities by analyzing and preparing data.
- Understands key metric outputs and can articulate discrepancies and drive gaps to closure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Prior Oracle/Delmia/Windchill experience.
- Willingness to learn Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as Delmia ASCP Oracle Enterprise Business Suite etc.
- Exceptional verbal written and presentation skill as well as the ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel expected.
- ERP/MRP Experience Oracle is preferred but experience with any major MRP system is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules or Microsoft Project
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a hands-on approach to process improvements.
