The API 653 Inspectoris responsible for ensuring that the Project Quality Plan in conjunction with Project Execution Plan is developed and implemented. Shift/Schedule: Regular Full Time position working at least 50 hours per week.

Job Title: API 653 Inspector

Location: Channelview TX

What youll do:

• Perform API 653 inspections on aboveground storage tanks including assessment of shell plates floors nozzles and appurtenances.
• Knowledge to utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers and coordinate measuring machines to gather accurate data on tank condition.
• Able to visually inspect tanks to identify corrosion cracks leaks or other structural issues.
• Review and interpret inspection data in accordance with API 653 standards and relevant regulatory requirements including FDA regulations.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings recommendations for repairs or maintenance and compliance status.
• All other duties assigned

Physical Requirements for this role:

• Must be able to walk long distances
• Must be able to climb stoop kneel crouch and crawl
• Must be able to stand for extended durations
• Must be able to reach in all directions
• Must have good visual acuity with regards to color depth perception and field vision
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold temperatures
• Must be alert and able to determine job related hazards and recognize when hazards change
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally. Preferably holds current certification in Swagelok and Parker tubing fitting installation (Will accept expired certification depending on experience

Qualifications:

• API 653 certification is required
• At least 5 years of API 653 experience
• Able to work and communicate in a team environment
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to climb kneel and squat occasionally
• Must be able to read plans and specifications
