Position Overview
Beach Mazda is seeking a highly experienced and driven Automotive Service Manager. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role while we build a brand-new state-of-the-art facility. We are looking for a proven professional who can elevate the customer experience develop a high-performing team deliver profitability results and expand our presence in the local market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the service department ensuring efficiency profitability and top-tier customer satisfaction
- Recruit train and develop service advisors technicians and support staff
- Establish and monitor KPIs including labor sales effective labor rate technician productivity and customer retention
- Create and execute strategies to grow service business and market share within the Myrtle Beach area
- Maintain strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and resolve customer concerns professionally
- Oversee scheduling workflow and shop productivity to maximize throughput
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards warranty policies and dealership procedures
- Collaborate with sales and parts departments to drive overall dealership success
- Prepare budgets forecasts and performance reports
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as an Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager
- Strong leadership team-building and performance management skills
- Proven track record of increasing service revenue and profitability
- Deep understanding of fixed operations KPIs and dealership financials
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) and service software
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with Mazda or import brands
- Experience with growing a service operation
- Proven CSI success
