Job Responsibilities

Everyone should know exactly what theyre responsible for on the job. On a day-to-day basis Broistas are responsible to:

• Help deliver an incredible customer experience by providing each customer a unique moment of special
• Engage greet and thank every customer with a smile
• Always communicate with respect and good manners
• Make drinks to Dutch Bros. standards
• Deliver exactly what customers order
• Educate customers about our menu products and current specials
• Help customers find exactly what they want to order
• Follow Dutch Bros. appearance guidelines
• Show up to work on time ready to rock at serving customers
• Maintain an excellent atmosphere and shift vibe
• Keep the shop sparkling clean
• Be a good teammate
• Attend mandatory meetings
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in the Mafia Manifesto and Employee Handbook
• Turn to the broista standard checklist and manifesto for clarity on job role responsibilities and how to do things right
• Stay calm during periods of high volume or unusual stress
• Anticipate customer and shop needs
• Bring any problems deserving attention to supervisors
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment
• Regularly check Band feeds and chats to stay informed

Essential Functions

Lets talk about essential functions. To maintain this role you need to meet certain expectations. All Dutch Bros. West Valley Broistas must:

• Be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Be available to work within the hourly requirements as laid out on the availability form
• Work a minimum of three (3) shifts per week
• Proficiently hear read write and speak English
• Be comfortable with cash handling and on-the-fly mental math
• Meet all physical demands of the job and conditions of employment

Physical demands of the job

First off in any position at a Dutch Bros. shop all employees must be able to meet the physical demands of their roles. Those demands include:

• Constant standing and walking up to ten (10) hours at a time
• Occasional stooping kneeling and crawling
• Occasional pushing pulling lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders and ramps
• Frequent continual intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrists and spine
• Constant reaching turning and performing precision work around the bar area
• Constant talking expressing or exchanging ideas via verbal communication
• Exposure to various sorts of lighting including some strobe lights
• Constant clarity of vision at both near and far distances
• Withstanding long periods of time in extreme heat and extreme cold
• Proximity to the use of cleaning chemicals

Conditions of employment

In addition to the physical demands we also want to be crystal clear on your conditions of employment. After youve been hired by us you will be required to:

• Acquire a current Arizona Food Handlers Card certification (dont worry well give you instructions on how to do this after youve been hired)
• Acquire a current Certified Food Protection Manager certification for Shift Lead positions and above (again well help)
• Successfully complete our onboarding training
• Make drinks according to corporate standards and pass a Flow Test
• Pass a background check for Assistant Manager positions and above
