Job Summary
Job Title: Software Engineering Intern
Summary of Position:
Intern will work closely with senior developers architects and QA teams to support the development and enhancement. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale systems Agile development practices and modern web technologies with a focus on building reliable high-quality software components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of an Agile/SCRUM delivery team supporting day-to-day development activities.
- Assist senior developers in implementing technical tasks and user stories.
- Support backend development using Java and Spring Boot python including development of REST APIs.
- Contribute to frontend development using Angular HTML CSS and basic TypeScript.
- Help write and execute unit tests and assist with integration testing.
- Support debugging and defect fixing identified during development and testing phases.
- Assist with integration of eCommerce applications with backend systems and external services.
- Follow team-defined coding standards security guidelines and best practices.
- Maintain and update technical documentation for assigned tasks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot through coursework or academic projects.
- Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular HTML CSS and JavaScript.
- Introductory experience with Python for scripting or automation is a plus.
- Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTTP REST APIs JSON).
- Exposure to Git or other version control systems.
- Basic awareness of SDLC Agile methodology and engineering best practices.
Good to Have
- Exposure to eCommerce platforms
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or cloud platforms.
