Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Milford or Warren Michigan three times per week at minimum.

The Role:
The Agile Release Train (ART) Lead is a servant leader and coach for the ART. Theyare responsible forfacilitatingART-level coordination events and processes and for supporting agile teams in consistently delivering value. The ART Lead engages with stakeholdersescalatesand helps resolve impediments and actively manages cross-team dependencies and risks.

As an ART Lead you will have the opportunity to support youragileteams by providing coaching and will be expected to lead by example challenge thestatus quoand promote an environment of continuous improvementexperimentationand innovation. With your excellent listening skillsfacilitationand conflict-resolutionskillsyou will help VMEC continue toimplementwork methodsrequiredtoadvance an agile software development team.
What Youll Do:
Facilitate Program Increment (PI) planning visualize and manage the flow of features and capabilities from ideation to analysis implementation and release.
Outline business and technical goals that development teams intend to achieve and the relationship to programobjectives.
Coach the ART onagile software development andcourse correct anyanti-patterns.
Manage and coordinate large and complex development projectsfacilitatesynchronization events ( and processes) and coordinate between multi-functional development teams both inside and outside of VMEC.
Help manage risk and dependencies between teams. Escalate and track impediments. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks.
Facilitatesystemdemos thatprovidean integratedview of new features for the iteration delivered by all the teams on the project.
Represent the development teams in front of senior leadership to provide statusupdatesacquirefeedbackor approval.
Perform a critical role in thedata-drivendecision-makingprocess. Create and interpret metrics to guide the organization to continuously improve. Analyze data used to track key performance indexes providing insights and context to the results.
Create an environment of continuous improvement byfacilitatingInspect and Adapt workshops and coaching team members on agilesoftware developmentprinciples.
Initiate strategic efforts to enhance product development workflow and process.
Stay abreast of industry trendsnewtechnologiesand competitive products.
Create an environment of psychological safety coach and mentor less experienced engineers and actively support communities of practice.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
BSE BS in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Electrical/ElectronicEngineering Computer Science SystemsEngineeringor a related technical area
Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering/technical experience with an understanding of embedded controls systems and SW development
Demonstrated ability to manage multiplesignificantly complex projects and assignments in a production environment witha high levelof autonomy and accountability for results.
A proactive and empowering nature that makes others want to follow your lead
High levelof interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employees anddrive forresults
Skilled at resolving interpersonal conflicts and overall helpingto enable more effective communication
Comfortable with dataanalysis andrecommending solutions or improvements based on data
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity embrace changes and challenges
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
Masters in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Electrical/ElectronicEngineering Computer Science SystemsEngineeringor a related technical area
8 years of professional engineering/technical experience with an understanding of embedded controls systems and SW development
Demonstrated coordination and project management skills with experience in leadingtechnical teams inthe production environment
SCRUM training with at least5years of experience in Software Developmentfocused in agile processes
High organizational agility and ability ofrepresentingthe product development team in communication with the senior leadership
Familiar with data mininganalysisand visualization techniques
Comfortable with ambiguous assignments and capable of developing strategies with minimum guidance
High levelof oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of controls softwareand calibration development forVehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls products
Strong understanding of major automotive subsystems and the interactions between them
