TITLE:TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR
RESPONSIBLE TO:Assistant Superintendent and IT Director
JOB GOAL:
To service the technology requirements of the districts students and staff to maintain in good and current condition the technology equipment and materials of the district and to provide training and instruction as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in computer science preferred with 2-3 years of technology experience or high school graduate with 3-5 years of previous experience in technology services or the exhibited desire and ability to perform the required duties. Fluency in writing speaking and reading Spanish preferred. A valid State of Arizona Drivers License and a CDL License are preferred.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing preparing implementing and carrying out the districts technology plan.
- Assist and coordinate district projects as needed.
- Confer with IT Director regarding the needs and direction of the district in the area of technology
- Purchase technology equipment and materials adhering to all procurement rules state statutes and district policies.
- Install repair and generally maintain in good condition all of the technology equipment and materials of the district.
- Assist in the inventory of the district technology equipment.
- Provide training to staff in the correct and proper use of the district technology equipment and network software.
- Attend classes in-services and seminars as needed to improve knowledge and skills and to keep current with the latest in technology services equipment materials and functions as it pertains to the districts needs.
- Maintain safety systems for the technology equipment and software of the district i.e. surge protection virus protection internet filtering programs etc.
- Work with the Technology Educator in the use and maintenance of equipment and network software in the computer lab.
- Assist students and staff with technology needs and requirements to support the curriculum and the operations of the district as networked between classrooms and all campus facilities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the districts technology contracts for staff and students.
- Assist in the development implementation and maintenance of the districts telecommunication system.
- Work independently and in groups and be a self-starter.
- Assist in all safety programs drills and evacuation proceedings as required.
- Perform emergency tasks as needed and directed.
- Perform all duties and assignments and use materials and operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner using all safety equipment or clothing which might be reasonable to ensure the safety of self fellow employees and students.
- Assume responsibility for and secure the district assigned keys which are assigned to you for your job use and safekeeping.
- Listen to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and directives and respond with oral and written reports as required.
- Maintain good personal cleanliness and dress appropriately for the position.
- Practice good public relations techniques with students staff administration and parents demonstrating a cordial and friendly manner.
- Work efficiently and cooperatively with other staff members.
- Practice regular and consistent attendance arriving and departing at the designated times for your position.
- Refrain from the use of inappropriate obscene or foul language.
- Maintain in good condition and store for safekeeping all property supplies and materials of the district.
- Maintain district security by locking all doors and gates for which you are responsible being on campus only during reasonable hours and reporting to the Head Custodian Director of Maintenance Business Manager or Superintendent any problems with locks lighting windows utilities etc.
- Assist in keeping the district campuses clean and orderly.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
