Job Summary

2 months contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

  • The Project Support Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of the SEND Transformation Programme. This post exists to ensure effective coordination administration and data support across programme activities enabling the team to drive meaningful and sustainable improvements for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The role requires strong organisational skills proactive problemsolving and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

  • Maintain update and organise all project documentation registers and tracking tools.
  • Monitor programme actions risks issues dependencies and milestones ensuring timely followup.
  • Prepare regular progress updates reports and dashboards to support programme governance.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings workshops and stakeholder engagement events.
  • Produce accurate minutes capture key actions and ensure effective followup.
  • Support communication across teams by preparing briefing notes presentations and updates.

Essential Experience Required

  • Experience providing administrative or project support within a complex programme or service environment (essential).
  • Previous work in a SEND service childrens services education or a similar setting (highly desirable).

Essential Qualifications Required

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional information to note

  • Working hours: 22.50 hours per week
  • Requirement of 5 days per week including 2 days on-site in the office
  • Part-time availability: Must be available to work 3 days per week with a requirement to be in the office 12 days per week.
  • We work on Bi weekly payment schedule
