Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Resort Manager for a luxury private island property in the Seychelles. This is a unique opportunity for a well-rounded hospitality professional to take on a leadership role in a remote high-end environment ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction
- Lead manage and inspire a diverse team across all departments
- Ensure operational efficiency across departments including front of house housekeeping and guest services
- Maintain and uphold luxury service standards and brand values
- Drive team performance through training mentoring and development initiatives
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns in a professional and proactive manner
- Work closely with department heads to ensure smooth coordination and communication
- Monitor budgets costs and overall financial performance in collaboration with the finance team
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental standards
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar senior hospitality management role within an ultra-luxury property
- Proven remote island or hardship location experience is essential
- Pre-opening experience is a must
- Strong rooms division background (candidates from an F&B background will not be considered)
- Fluent in English and at least two additional languages one of which must be German
- Additional languages such as Swiss German or Russian are highly advantageous
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of operational systems including property management systems and general IT systems
- Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and interpret reports
