Role Description:
SAP Program Managers (Finance) plan direct and govern end-to-end SAP programs and releases with a focus on Finance (e.g. S/4HANA Finance). The role is accountable for program outcomes across multiple workstreams (Record-to-Report Order-to-Cash Procure-to-Pay Budget-to-Report Treasury and related integrations) ensuring alignment to business strategy regulatory requirements and SAP best practices. Programs may include implementation upgrade enhancement and stabilization activities and will vary in complexity duration approach and technology landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for delivery of the overall SAP Finance program scope benefits and outcomes across all workstreams and releases.
- Establish and maintain program governance (steering committee cadence decision logs RAID management stage gates) and ensure adherence to delivery methodology (e.g. SAP Activate with Hybrid Agile where applicable).
- Develop and manage the integrated program plan work breakdown structure resourcing plan dependencies and release roadmap (including cutover and hypercare planning).
- Lead cross-functional integration across Finance HR Procurement and other impacted domains including interfaces to third-party systems and downstream reporting.
- Coordinate internal SMEs business owners and a system integrator to ensure appropriately qualified resources are assigned and that deliverables meet acceptance criteria.
- Oversee key Finance deliverables (e.g. fit-to-standard outcomes functional design configuration sign-offs data conversion approach testing strategy training and change impacts) and ensure timely approvals.
- Drive timely resolution of issues and risks (RAID) with particular attention to Finance controls compliance and audit requirements.
- Manage program budget forecasts vendor spend and progress tracking; provide accurate status reporting milestone tracking and benefits realization updates.
- Manage stakeholder communications with the program sponsor steering committee Finance leadership and business process owners; ensure decisions and impacts are clearly communicated
- Define and report program performance metrics (schedule scope quality financials testing progress readiness and cutover execution metrics).
- Identify and remove barriers to delivery including environment readiness data quality testing constraints and cross-team dependency conflicts.

- Demonstrated expertise in program and project lifecycles integrated planning and estimation (scope schedule resources and cost) for complex enterprise initiatives.
- Experience leading delivery within a large-scale program requiring integration with multiple projects/workstreams and adherence to an overall program governance model.
- Hands-on experience delivering SAP programs with a Finance focus (e.g. SAP S/4HANA Finance) including configuration-led delivery with a system integrator.
- Experience delivering Finance process transformation (e.g. Record-to-Report Procure-to- Pay Order-to-Cash) and ensuring alignment to financial controls auditability and reporting requirements.
- Experience planning and managing programs/projects in a Public Sector organization (or similarly complex regulated environment).
- Experience managing a large system integration vendor and coordinating internal business SMEs technical teams and third parties.
- Experience managing multiple projects/workstreams concurrently including integrated schedule and dependency management.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendors concurrently (e.g. system integrator AMS/support provider testing partner and niche solution vendors).
- Excellent stakeholder management interpersonal and listening skills including ability to communicate effectively with Finance leadership and technical delivery teams.
- Strong facilitation skills including running fit-to-standard workshops design decision forums and executive-level governance meetings.
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills including ability to evaluate impacts to Finance controls close processes and reporting.
