Job Summary
Come join our team in Bedfordshire as a Senior Electronics Engineer where youll play a key role in delivering highreliability safetycritical electronic systems for one of ALTENs major defence and aerospace programmes. Youll be part of a specialist engineering team working on complex cuttingedge technology with realworld impact.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical ownership detailed design work and contributing to missioncritical programmes in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electronic hardware development across the full lifecycle from requirements capture through to production release
- Carry out detailed design work for digital mixedsignal application processor FPGAbased and highreliability systems
- Review and approve schematics PCB layouts component selections and supporting documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
- Maintain compliance with DO254 processes and ensure robust design assurance and verification traceability
- Support configuration control verification and validation activities
- Work collaboratively with Systems Software Mechanical Test and Programme Management teams
- Contribute to planning bid activity cost estimation and project reporting
- Manage priorities risks and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
- Strong project and programme management experience
- 5 years experience in electronics hardware design (digital and mixedsignal)
- Proven experience designing to DO254 standards
- Minimum 1 year of wiring and PCB rework experience
- Significant expertise in detailed electronics hardware design
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes
- Excellent attention to detail and a processdriven approach
- Ability to interpret legislation and implement compliant processes
- Strong organisational communication and timemanagement skills
- Adaptable proactive and comfortable working across multiple projects
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with subcontractors
- VHDL or Verilog experience
- Embedded C or Python experience
