Wage Range: $42.97 per hour. Start rate non-negotiable.

Duties:

In compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations the principal responsibilities of the Third Class Operating Engineer include:

  • Operate and Maintain the building automation system boiler and chiller plant fire alarm pneumatic tube medical gas other mechanical/electrical systems or equipment
  • Respond to and troubling shooting calls from various departments.

Qualifications :

  • Completion of Grade XII or equivalent
  • Ontario Third Class Stationary Engineers Certificate
  • Two years related experience preferable in a hospital environment
  • Ability to read write understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical electric HVAC schematics
  • Experience with the operations of a facilities Building Automation System (BAS) an asset
  • Ability to keyboard and have basic computer skills an asset
  • Must have an electro/mechanical aptitude
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
