Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our growing team. This individual will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to develop electrical system designs for a variety of building types. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop electrical system designs including power distribution lighting fire alarm and low-voltage systems
- Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Perform load calculations short circuit and voltage drop calculations
- Coordinate with mechanical plumbing fire protection and architectural teams
- Assist with specifications reports and construction administration tasks
- Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed
- Support senior engineers and project managers throughout project lifecycle
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 26 years of experience in MEP consulting engineering (preferred)
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Familiarity with NEC and applicable building codes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- EIT certification or on track to obtain (preferred)
