Job Summary
.Job Description
The Import/Export Support Representative acts as a liaison between customers and the company by providing top tier customer service to ensure their satisfaction. You will be responsible for day-to-day general account service functions that include but are not limited to order processing import/export documentation and logistical tasks. Your goal is to build valuable relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business for account growth by performing the Support Representative duties.
Responsibilities & Duties
Answer incoming customer inquiries; engage with clients in a friendly and professional manner while actively listening to their concerns; offer support and solutions to customers in accordance with the companys customer service policies
Collaborate with management teams to stay updated on new products services and policies; provide sales support pricing rate quotations and rate filing.
Utilize our system to track trace follow up release cargo and deliver shipments.
Review shipping documents and client billing for consistency and accuracy; ensure clients/customers receive documents promptly and on time; follow up with clients/customers with updated shipment information and availability
Work with customs brokerage to ensure entry/clearance of shipments
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
0-2 years of relevant experience.
Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
Provide excellent customer service.
Knowledge of FCL/LCL import export ocean and air shipments helpful.
Work well in team environment and within global offices network.
Attention to detail excellent organization ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure take initiative with pro-active approach to problem solving and have the ability to work well in a team environment.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
Enforce the formalities of customs clearance of goods for imports and exports.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
IMPORT
Review the material report in Laredo and process it with the corresponding comments.
Review materials for tariff classification if required.
Request import declaration numbers from the customs broker.
Generate import invoices in the SCI (Annex 24).
Send invoices to the customs broker.
Assemble foreign trade files (customs declarations invoices COVE MV HC customs declaration accounts etc.).
Compare and review each physical file against the SAT list.
Validate and process the customs declarations for payment.
Enter customs declarations in Annex 24 once they have been paid.
EXPORT
Request export declaration numbers from the Customs Broker.
Receive packing lists from the shipping department with the corresponding quantities and weights to generate export invoices in the Customs Information System (Annex 24)
Send invoices to the Customs Broker
Assemble foreign trade files (export declarations invoices COVE MV customs declaration accounts etc.)
Validate and process payments for export declarations
Enter export declarations in Annex 24 once payments have been received
Compare and review each physical file against the DataStage
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience 1 to 2 years
General Knowledge; LA LCE RGCE IMMEX PROSEC Reglas 8va. Incoterms
Languages; Spanish English
