POSITION: Occupational Therapist - 2026/27 School Year Opening
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program recognized by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist by the New Hampshire Office of Licensed Allied Health Professionals or eligible for NH License
- Experience in the school setting preferred but not required
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:In accordance with Bartlett School Districtnon-contracted policies
REPORTS TO:Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY:The Occupational Therapist leads the process of occupational therapy evaluation educational program and planning therapeuticinterventions and exit planning for students identified with or suspected of having disabilitiesthat interfere with their ability to perform daily life activitiesand/or participate in the education enviroment
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete screenings and diagnostic evaluations analyze results and present reports for students referred through the special education or Section 504 process(es)
- Participate in eligibility initialand annual IEP/504 meetings and other meetings as deemed appropriateby the Principal and/or Director of Student Services
- Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) 504 and Rti plans including recommending specific IEP goals accommodations and modifications and services
- Provide direct services on an individual small-group or classroom basis to students identified with educational disabilities
- Complete progress reports in a timely manner and according to district/school policy
- Provide consultation and guidance to general education teachers and paraeducators
- Maintain an inventory of materials assessments and therapy supplies
- Be knowledgeable of best practices in maintaining state/national licensure
- Supervision of COTA when required
- Participate in the Medicaid to Schools billing program as appropriate
- Providing services to other schools in the district
- Follow district policies and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by the principal
EVALUATION:Performance will be evaluated by the Principal or designee in accordance with the District evaluation procedures
