Shift Details
- Day Shift: 5x8 Hours (7:00 AM 3:30 PM)
- On-call:
- 1 night per week
- Every 7th weekend
Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist performs specialized imaging and assists physicians with minimally invasive image-guided procedures. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and adherence to safety and clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional and special procedures
- Prepare and position patients for IR procedures
- Operate imaging equipment to support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately
- Maintain sterile field and follow infection control protocols
- Administer and manage contrast media as required
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Utilize medication dispensing systems appropriately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care
- Float to other units or campuses as required based on competency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures experience
- ARRT (R) certification
- Active South Carolina state license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel experience (first-time travelers considered based on experience)
