JOB SUMMARY:
The NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Operator is responsible for inspecting aerospace airfoils and vanes using approved non-destructive testing methods to detect surface and subsurface defects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring components meet stringent aerospace quality and safety standards without compromising part integrity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document and record inspection findings accurately ensuring full traceability
- Identify and segregate non-conforming parts per quality procedures
- Maintain compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP requirements
- Perform routine equipment checks calibrations and ensure proper functioning of NDT systems
- Collaborate with quality engineering and production teams to resolve inspection findings and improve processes
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional attention to detail and inspection accuracy
- Meet color perception standards needed in performance of job requirements (when required).
- 13 years of experience in aerospace inspection manufacturing or quality control preferred
- Familiarity with airfoil components turbine blades or similar precision parts is a strong plus
- Understanding of aerospace quality systems such as AS9100 and NADCAP preferred
