Position Title: Warehouse Material Handler
Reports To: Purchasing Supervisor
The packaging warehouse material handler is required to handle the day-to-day inventory responsibilities in support of other organizational functions. This position reports to the facility Purchasing Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Unload/load delivery trucks with electric forklift
- Load supply trailers with forklift and/or physical material handling
- Follow the instructions of the Purchasing Manager / Purchasing Supervisor
- Meet deadlines for completion of the delegated tasks
- Proper storage and handling of the received stock
- Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the warehouse
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Work on the strapping machine adding straps to our cardboard combos
Skills and Specifications
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must possess the ability to repetitively lift and carry boxes up to 60#
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- Should possess the skills of being a good team worker self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with other departments
Education and Qualifications
Warehousing experience a plus
Forklift operator experience preferred
