Muskegon Catholic Central in Muskegon is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Secondary School Counselor (Grades 712) to support the academic and spiritual growth of our secondary students. Rooted in Catholic identity and guided by Catholic Social Teaching the school counselor fosters a faith-centered environment that respects the dignity of every person promotes service to others and prepares students for responsible Catholic identity driven ideal candidate is passionate about academic counseling helping students navigate course selection monitor academic progress set postsecondary goals and develop effective study and organizational skills. Join our mission-driven school and make a lasting impact on the lives of young Overview:The MCC School Counselor (Grades 712) is guided by best practices outlined by the American School Counselor Association the counselor implements a comprehensive school counseling program that provides leadership advocacy and collaboration to promote access to academic opportunities and student support. The counselor delivers direct and indirect services including individual student planning responsive services and developmental academic planning programs while partnering with faculty families and community members to ensure that student services reflect both professional counseling standards and the mission and identity of Catholic education. Their growth as learners leaders and disciples is a : The ideal candidate will have Commitment to Catholic education and Catholic Social Teaching experience in academic advising or school counseling preferably at the secondary level.
