Location: Hyannis MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possibility of Extension)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week Rotating Shifts
Shift Timing: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Every Other Weekend & Holiday

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care in a hospital setting. This role involves managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions ventilator support and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes across adult pediatric and neonatal populations.
Responsibilities
- Assess and manage acute and chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction
- Initiate monitor and adjust ventilator support using lung-protective strategies
- Perform diagnostic procedures including ABG draws sputum collection spirometry and capnography
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Administer oxygen therapy aerosolized medications and advanced therapies (e.g. Heliox high-flow oxygen)
- Assist with airway management including intubation suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Support bronchoscopies and conscious sedation procedures
- Monitor patients during intra-hospital and inter-facility transport
- Respond to emergency situations including codes and rapid response events
- Utilize non-invasive ventilation and airway clearance techniques (PEP CPT etc.)
- Document patient care treatments and billing accurately in EMR systems
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Train and mentor staff students and new team members as needed
- Maintain respiratory equipment supplies and inventory
- Provide compassionate patient-centered care with excellent bedside manner
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy License
- BLS Certification (current)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of critical care experience
- Experience with ventilator management and advanced respiratory therapies
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
