General Purpose: Test fire GLOCK production firearms and assist in assembly line operational activities according to the Test Fire Operators essential duties and responsibilities. Shift(s) Available:2nd shift (1:30 PM to 9:30 PM) Monday through FridayDuties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):Test fire GLOCK production firearms according to company procedures and productivity goals as well as internal quality specifications. Coordinate with the Assembly lines to ensure that all qualified production firearms are test fired in a timely manner and in accordance with all the Companys safety and test fire procedures and the department SOP. Maintain the highest level of safety and cleanliness in and around the production range and assembly area. Will have extensive knowledge about the safe handling of firearms fired on his/her ranges. Responsible for knowing understanding and following all emergency procedures involving weapons or equipment malfunctions and will immediately report them to the production range supervisor range master or range technician. Must have knowledge of all targeting equipment and systems including software. Will confirm that all proper test fire equipment is utilized based upon individual order requirements. Will exercise proper operational procedures to ensure accurate and stable calibration of range equipment. Will properly assist in the hand test fire of pistols when necessary and follow all safety protocol. As needed assist assembly lines to meet their required daily weekly and monthly goals. As needed support final assembly by preforming visual and functional checks to ensure quality and accuracy of pistols. Communicate with shift supervisor and/or line leads of potential issues that could affect product quality and/or safety including equipment and product issues. Ensure that all documentation is correct including quantities and other records. Report defective parts/equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor and range master or technician. Maintain knowledge of QC requirements and procedures to ensure proper disposition of nonconforming parts. Communicate with line leads and assemblers at shift change to exchange relevant information that helps prevent mistakes and expedite assembly and test fire processes. Ensure proper data acquisition of production range equipment and all products tested. Supports all LEAN activities in the production range and assembly area especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards. Must be present in regular attendance and have a flexible work schedule. Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility. Ensures compliance to ISO- OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility. Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up to date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education pay close attention to details. Needs to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
