Job Summary
This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can work worship teach learn pray together make and renew covenants and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 1)Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship and 2)Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community. This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing temples headquarters and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto Christ.
This position works under the direction of the facility manager with coordination from the mission president or mission presidents wife to assist with the operation of the mission home. Duties vary but typically include assistance with maintaining property cleanliness preparing meals assisting with child care and laundry. Efficient and timely completion of assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums polishers buffers etc.
- Maintain home/facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
- Require working in damp dusty and dirty areas.
- Responsible for disposal of trash waste and other disposable materials.
- Must handle various cleaning solvents chemicals etc.
- Must comply with all regulations associated with handling these chemicals.
- Damp dust furniture light fixtures windowsills and empty trash containers daily etc.
- Wet mop floors in all rooms and bathrooms daily.
- Damp mop all corridor floors lobby dining areas and others daily.
- Clean wash basins mirrors commodes tubs and showers daily and clean all air vents.
- Check all vacant rooms daily to keep fresh.
- Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets loose tile broken windowpanes missing nuts or screws beds needing repair etc.).
- Completely strip and re-coat all floor areas when necessary and as scheduled.
- Check entire area for spills water etc. periodically especially in residents bathrooms.
- Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
Other duties as assigned (e.g. preparing and cooking meals overseeing children or addressing minor appliance issues).
Qualifications
- Good physical and mental health.
- Strong proficiency in Englishboth written and verbalis required for this role.
- Able to lift carry walk sit push pull and work a flexible schedule
- Must be able to move continuously during work hours and able to lift and/or carry up to 34 kg.

The Nauvoo and British Pageants will be performed Tuesday - Saturday at 8:45 p.m. July 8 - August 2, 2025. Pre-show activities start at 7:00 p.m. each night.
