Whats the role
As a Senior Experience Designer you will join the Business Transaction Banking (BTB) portfolio within Westpacs Business & Wealth design practice as a strong senior individual contributor. You will deliver endtoend design across complex initiatives helping teams frame the right problems and achieve highquality outcomes through collaboration research and strong craft. You will think strategically aligning design decisions with experience and platform strategy while owning quality and outcomes.
Additionally youll work closely with design leads product partners and delivery teams to facilitate workshops drive clarity through codesign and communicate design intent using clear storytelling. You will partner with researchers and data to shape research briefs validate direction and iterate solutions based on evidence and insight while contributing to mentoring and a culture of feedback.
You will also help improve design workflows and ways of working to increase consistency and delivery outcomes. Youll embrace AI as part of modern design practice using it thoughtfully to accelerate synthesis explore options strengthen decisionmaking and reduce administrative overhead while applying sound judgement and craft.
What do I need
- Strong experience in digital product design ideally within complex or enterprise environments.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex initiatives and maintain momentum in ambiguous situations.
- Strong crossfunctional collaboration skills with confidence influencing stakeholders and contributing to shared outcomes.
- Proven ability to frame problems apply strong craft and deliver highquality experience outcomes.
- Emotional intelligence: empathetic curious constructive and teamoriented in approach.
- Experience using AI within design workflows to support synthesis exploration and decisionmaking will be a nicetohave skill.
