Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) CVOR
Location: Dallas TX
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (MondayFriday 6:30 AM 3:00 PM)
Schedule: 8-hour shifts with call and holiday requirements
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to support complex surgical procedures in a high-acuity fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in open heart and endovascular surgeries and be comfortable working in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Surgical Support
- Assist in open heart and endovascular surgical procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical protocols
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment
Patient Care
- Provide pre-operative intra-operative and post-operative care
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during procedures
- Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the surgical process
Specialized Equipment & Procedures
- Work with advanced cardiac support devices including:
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Impella devices
- ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
- Support both traditional and hybrid OR procedures
Collaboration
- Work closely with cardiothoracic and vascular surgical teams
- Coordinate with anesthesia surgical techs and support staff
- Communicate effectively to ensure efficient surgical workflow
Requirements:
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Strong experience in open heart and endovascular procedures
Certifications
- Active RN License
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
Skills
- Experience in high-acuity surgical environments
- Proficiency with advanced cardiac surgical equipment
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
