Job Summary

About the role

As a Mendix Team Lead you will be responsible for delivering high-quality enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix low-code platform. You will lead a cross-functional development team while remaining hands-on in development ensuring solutions are scalable secure and aligned with organizational standards.

This role combines technical leadership architecture design and team management with full ownership of the Mendix application lifecycle from initial concept to deployment and continuous improvement.



What You Will Do

  • Lead mentor and support a team of Mendix developers and engineers while contributing hands-on to development

  • Manage agile delivery activities (sprint planning backlog refinement execution)

  • Review microflows nanoflows domain models and UI components for quality and standards

  • Design scalable Mendix application architectures based on business requirements

  • Define and enforce best practices (security performance UI/UX modular design)

  • Own the full application lifecycle (versioning branching CI/CD environment management)

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks coding standards and documentation

  • Manage deployment pipelines and coordinate with DevOps teams

  • Design and validate integrations with APIs SAP IAM and other backend systems

  • Collaborate with architects product owners and cross-functional teams

  • Monitor application performance scalability and platform health

  • Lead incident resolution root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts


What You Will Need

  • Degree in Computer Science IT or a related field

  • 6 years of Mendix development experience with Advanced certification (Expert preferred)

  • Proven experience leading Mendix teams or serving as a technical/solution lead

  • Strong understanding of Mendix architecture lifecycle management and platform governance

  • Familiarity with at least two languages (e.g. C# .NET PHP Java)

  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns

  • Understanding of authentication methods (OAuth SSO Azure AD)

  • Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps Git CI/CD pipelines)

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Knowledge of database design and data modeling best practices

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure AWS SAP BTP) is a plus

  • Front-end skills (JavaScript SCSS) are an advantage

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
