Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist (Permanent)
Location: Craig CO
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Shifts Available: Day Shift & Night Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CT/X-Ray Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services across multiple modalities. This role focuses on patient safety accurate imaging and adherence to clinical protocols while delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including:
- X-ray
- CT
- Fluoroscopy
- C-arm/OR imaging
- Follow established imaging protocols or coordinate with radiologists
- Obtain patient history and ensure proper patient identification
- Secure informed consent prior to procedures
Patient Care & Safety
- Educate patients on procedures and equipment
- Maintain a safe and supportive patient environment
- Adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards
- Screen patients for safety (e.g. pregnancy checks)
Equipment & Technical Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
- Perform quality control (QC) procedures
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs
- Maintain competency with IV/contrast procedures (if applicable)
Documentation & Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Ensure imaging documentation and prior records are complete
- Assist with scheduling clerical duties and patient transport
- Manage department inventory and supplies
Team Collaboration
- Support and cross-train team members
- Assist across imaging modalities as needed
- Participate in training meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain flexibility for scheduling including call weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Completion of employee health requirements
Education & Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT (Radiology R) certification required
- BLS Certification (within 90 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Cross-training or experience in additional modalities:
- Experience with PACS RIS/HIS and EMR systems
Additional Requirements (Night Shift Consideration)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must obtain or hold at least two of the following certifications within 1 year (if applicable):
- ARRT (CT)
- ARRT (MRI)
- ARRT (Mammography)
- NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine)
- ARDMS (RDMS RVT RDCS RMSKS)
