Specialist Occupational Therapist – Childrens Social Care
Job Summary
Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced and dedicatedSpecialist Occupational Therapistto deliver highquality assessments and interventions for children and young people withsignificant physical cognitive or sensory impairments.
You will play a vital role within Childrens Social Care ensuring that every child you work with receives tailored meaningful support that promotes independence safety and wellbeing. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact for Brents children and families.
What will your responsibilities be
- Deliverspecialist Occupational Therapy assessmentsin line with legislation and Brents eligibility criteria.
- Providesocial care interventionsfor children with complex needs.
- Develop personalised plans to promote independence including:
- Equipment and assistive technology
- Home adaptations
- Specialist seating
- Manual handling plans
- Environmental assessments
- Support the childslearning development play social participation and inclusion.
- Assess the needs of carers and ensure eligible support is identified and provided.
- Work collaboratively with families carers schools health partners and social care colleagues to deliver a coordinated childcentred service.

Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPCregistered Occupational Therapist
- Strong experience working withchildren with disabilitiesin aSocial Caresetting
- Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Strong communication and multiagency working capabilities
- Commitment to childcentred strengthsbased practice
Working Arrangements:
This role is offered on ahybrid basis with a set number of days each week required in the office at32 Engineers Way Wembley.
This gives a balance of collaborative team working homebased focus time and direct intervention.
