Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced COBOL Technical Leadto lead the design development and maintenance of large-scale mainframe applications. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in COBOL and mainframe technologies technical leadership capabilities and the ability to guide teams through legacy enhancement and modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Must drive development and maintenance using COBOL JCL CICS DB2/IMS
- Lead solution design code reviews and technical decision-making
- Must understand Agile methodologies and DevOps for mainframe
- Perform complex impact analysis and ensure high-quality delivery
- Mentor and guide developers; enforce coding standards and best practices
- Coordinate with architects business analysts QA and production support teams
- Own end-to-end delivery for assigned modules including release readiness
- Support production issues root cause analysis and performance tuning
- Participate in legacy modernization and mainframe-to-Java/cloud initiatives
- Ensure compliance with security audit and regulatory requirements
- Having Assembler experience is an additional advantage
