Mercers Investment Management business Investment Solutions International (IS) is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented investment operations specialist to join our Operations team. This is a 12 month fixed term contract role with potential for permanency subject to performance and business needs. While prior experience in regulatory reporting or fund expense oversight is a plus it is not required. We are looking for someone with a basic understanding of fund accounting and a keen interest in learning about European investment products and operational processes.

Mercer is a fast-growing investment solutions provider with a broad and expanding client base. Our fund range includes approximately 140 Irish domiciled funds across multiple legal structures supporting Mercers investment and risk management solutions for institutional clients.
The Operations team supports a variety of important activities including onboarding new clients launching funds managing fund rebalancing overseeing NAV and valuations and supporting regulatory and tax compliance. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and third-party service providers to help ensure smooth and accurate operations.
The Regulatory Reporting team focuses on ensuring Mercer meets its regulatory obligations including reporting under MiFID II AIFMD MMFR EMIR and PRIIPs KIDs. As an Associate you will become responsible for reporting processes and gain exposure to regulatory changes and process addition you will support Fund Expenses Oversight liaising closely with our Dublin lead and Mumbai team to ensure all fund expense related tasks are completed accurately and on time.

We will rely on you to:
- Learn and develop a solid understanding of Mercers fund structures and investment solutions
- Support the team in delivering accurate and timely regulatory reporting and fund expense oversight
- Act as primary subject matter expert and support for offshore colleagues.
- Assist with data validation monitoring and basic analysis to ensure data quality
- Help research and summarize regulatory requirements and fund operations under guidance
- Support process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency driving forward solutions and taking ownership of outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to support daily operations
- Contribute to team projects and support the implementation of new regulatory requirements
- Maintain a strong focus on risk management and compliance within your work
What you will need to have:
- 2-5 years of experience in asset management fund administration or investment operations with relevant academic background (Business Accounting Finance Economics).
- Good understanding of fund accounting principles and investment products.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Excellent analytical skills and comfort working with data (Excel proficiency required; SQL or other data tools a plus).
- Interest in regulatory frameworks and compliance processes (prior experience is a bonus but not essential).
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and eagerness to develop professionally.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High performance outlook comfortable taking ownership of work and driving solutions.
- Good technology skills including Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word) and openness to learning new tools.
