Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a OF5 to serve as Chief of Staff Defence Medical People & Capability (COS MP & C) on FTRS (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 03 July 2026 (subject to formal establishment and candidate status).

Unit Function:

Provide direction and policy for specialist healthcare & medical workforce and medical capability management in order to maximise fighting power of the Armed Forces.

Position Role:

Internal (MP&C) business coherence and co-ordination. Cross HQ DMS Sub Org and TLB engagement on Workforce People and Training business.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate cohere resolve conflict and elevate risks/issues across the 3* HQ DMS; analysing Personnel including capability and integration under Def Med Reform moves outputs on behalf of 2* Dir DMP&C.

Oversee performance metrics dynamic risk management and continuous quality improvement activities in accordance with Dir MP&C priorities.

Lead for effective internal DMP&C communications across HQ DMS MCs NAD Group and Armed Forces Recruiting.

Lead production and maintenance of DMP&C plans and battle-rhythm in accordance with Dir DMP&C priorities.

Develop and cohere business meetings cycle e.g. MP&T Execs MP&T Comd Bd and prepare the director for DMS Mgmt Bd DMS EXCO and Def Medical Bd.

Lead for DMP&C Directorate SPC planning and coordination with HQ DMS Gp Fin Con.

Development and co-ordination of strategic-level D&G MP&T inputs into Command Plan HQ DMS Gp Management Plan and other directives.

Undertake any other duties as required by Dir MP&C in support of the business area.
