Position Summary:

TheSeniorClaims Consultant in a client-facing role applies their experience in providing interpretation of policy language coverage analysis advocacy coverage and dispute act as a liaison between clients adjusters lawyers insurance companies claims management and other related client professional courteous service to our clients carrier representatives underwriters business partners and HUB colleagues resulting inoutcomesthat meet or exceed expectations. Providesa high levelofclaimssupport to Producersand Account Managers to support client retention and growthasappropriateandin accordance withstandard practices policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Claims advocate and facilitator on behalf of the client
• Consultation with clients on claims issues
• Review and recommend solutions to coveragequantumand claim handling management issues
• Negotiates with insurersadjustersand lawyers toexpediteand obtain fair settlement of claims
• Participate in sales presentations to prospective clients
• Assistthe client in preparing special claims servicing instructions focusing on the clients specificneedsand taking into consideration the structure of their insurance programs
• Review and comment on policy wording for account teams
• Review of claims with clients/insurers/loss adjusters regularly
• Work withclients to ensure efficientpromptand smooth flow ofclaims handling andestablished processesare followed
• Provide guidance to client as to claim process along with directionregardinglikely outcomeand timelines
• Liaise with carriers and representatives through claim process
• Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary
• Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems
• Answer basic coverage questions
• Review and interpret policy languagewith the ability to propose coverage solutions in questionable/disputed situations
• Accurateelectronicfiling of claims asdeemedappropriate
• Attend Critical Path prospectingstewardshipand client meetings as requested including participation in presentations
• Works closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on allclaimsaspectsfor our clientswhile adhering to HUBs best practices and standard procedures
• Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that mayimpacttheir clients
• Makesappropriate recommendationsto clients in response to those changes independent of manager approval
• Travels on company business asrequired
• Prepares reports for management asrequired
• Attends industry related continuing education training and courses
• Performs other duties andprojects asassigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 5years of applicableclaims handlingexperience
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Superior customer service andproblem solvingskills.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Word Excel Outlook)
• Detail-oriented self-starter
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Significant skill in handling competing demands and projects
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibility
• Relevant Insurance licenses per state/regional statutes
• Associate in Claims (AIC)or CPCUdesignation preferred
