Manager, Human Resources – Manufacturing Plant, Nogales
Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Plants HR practices and processes.
This position requires a strong combination of strategic/tactical and operational skills with a willingness and passion for hands-on involvement in the departments tasks.
Position location: This position is based in our Manufacturing Plant at Nogales Sonora.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing and executing the implementation of a strategy to create a high-performance culture that encourages employee commitment to delivering optimal results and fostering a highly productive workforce through methods and processes designed to attract acquire develop and retain top talent.
- Leads directs and develops a team of human resources professionals responsible for executing activities and initiatives throughout the entire employee lifecycle including talent attraction and retention employee and labor relations and general HR services. This is achieved through a well-developed and effective approach that fosters a balanced perspective between the business and the employee.
- Ensures fair labor practices by controlling and managing disciplinary measures based on the Code of Ethics and Conduct the Federal Labor Law the Internal Work Regulations and company and corporate standards and guidelines.
General Human Resources Management:
- Planning administration and control of the departments budget.
- Close communication and collaboration with the Human Resources team members under the direction of the Latin America Human Resources Director to align practices and processes and carry out joint projects.
- Strict adherence to policies and procedures for developing team-building events.
- Manage compile and analyze data. Send accurate reports to various groups within the organization as needed.
- Support compliance with quality and safety standards and regulations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Business Management Engineering Organizational Management or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of general and progressive experience in Human Resources in a Manufacturing environment including at least 3 years supervising and leading other Human Resources professionals.
- Language: Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) in both written and verbal communication is required to effectively communicate with diverse teams and international colleagues and stakeholders.
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Mexican employment and labor relations regulations and practices as well as general practices in the manufacturing/maquiladora industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience using the Tress system. Experience using Workday system is a plus.
- Solid use of technology and computer skills including Microsoft Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint and planning and presentation tools.
- Excellent presentation verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-prepared for daily tasks with a passion for providing high-level friendly and authentic customer service.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude that adapts easily to change.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced complex and dynamic global organization.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive and strategic thinker able to identify and solve problems and be effective and efficient in a multitasking environment.
- Understanding of confidentiality: Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information.
- High level of integrity: Must be able to represent and model integrity within the organization.
