Job Summary
AECOM India is seeking a Modeller / Design Engineer to support design development and modeling activities across infrastructure and utility projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design drawings models and technical documentation in line with project and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed design drawings and engineering models in accordance with project specifications and standards.
- Support hydraulic and/or structural modeling activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate with project engineers and discipline leads to ensure consistency and accuracy in design output.
- Assist in quantity take-offs BOQs and preparation of design calculations and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and incorporate comments to meet technical and quality expectations.
- Maintain organised design records and ensure adherence to AECOM quality and safety systems.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree (BE / ) in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design and modeling roles.
- Hands-on experience in preparation of design drawings using AutoCAD Revit or similar tools.
- Exposure to hydraulic or structural modeling software such as:
- WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
- STAAD ETABS
- EPANET or similar analysis tools
- Basic understanding of engineering analysis and modeling principles.
Additional Information :
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in relevant design and modeling tools including:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
- GIS (basic to intermediate)
- Working knowledge of applicable industry standards design codes and best practices.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings specifications and reports.
