Job Summary

Looking to make a difference in the lives of pets and people Need a flexible schedule with a work/life balance The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region is looking for per diem Wellness Veterinarians to work in one of our newly renovated wellness clinics! We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides low-cost wellness and vaccine services in Colorado Springs and Pueblo in addition to sheltering animals. We promote a positive culture that celebrates inclusion and collaboration. We employ over 250 staff members all dedicated to caring for and supporting the people and pets in our communities. What you will do:

Help us prioritize the human animal bond and provide access to affordable veterinary care.

Provide wellness services and client education to the owned animals in our community.

Work out of our newly renovated Wellness Clinic in Colorado Springs or use your skills to help fulfill the need in our renovated Pueblo Wellness Clinic.

Enjoy a busy but supportive working environment with skilled medical staff aiding you in patient care and wellness.

Compensation and Schedule:

Shifts available from 8:30 am 5:30 pm in COS Wed-Sat and in Pueblo Sun and Tues

Salary: $80/hour

Education/Experience Necessary

Graduated from an accredited veterinary medical college DVM or equivalent.

Licensed to practice in the State of Colorado.

Experience in a high-volume vaccine or low-cost clinic a plus.

Demonstrated aptitude in clinical medicine and surgery.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Spanish a plus.

As a condition of employment with HSPPR you will be required to authorize HSPPR and ProScreening to conduct a background check before confirming an employment start date. The background check will include a criminal investigation verification of citizenship/immigration status and a motor vehicle record.
