We are seeking an ambitiousmasters student (m/f) to support ourPackaging Specialty Plastics & Hydrocarbons Businessfor our locationin Terneuzen the Netherlands.
This internship offers hands-on experience in a globalinternationaland dynamic environment where creativity analytical thinking andproblem-solvingskills are highlyvalued. Thedepartment that will welcome you is theNew Business Developmentteam part of a global organization focused onProcess & Catalysis R&D. Wesupport various sustainability programs in areas such as Advanced RecyclingDecarbonization andWaste valorization.
Project description:
The internship focuses on Advanced Recycling of Mixed Plastic Waste by evaluating novel process technologies. The project aims to generate robusthigh qualitydata on a feasibility study that compares different technology options. The study encompasses reactor and process design integrated with technoeconomic evaluation for a scenario that has a strong relevance to industrial sustainability challenges.
Responsibilities
- You work as part of acollaborativeteam in a R&Dsetting helping developing the chemical process design of a new technology.
- You collect organize and interpret information providing clear summaries and insightstothe research team.
- You conduct background researchto stay currentwithscientificadvancementrelevant to the project.
- You preparecleardocumentation reports and presentations to communicate progress andkeyfindings.
- You supportday-to-dayprocess modeling activities as needed to drive innovation and project completion.
Qualifications
- Currentlypursuing amasters degree in chemical engineering industrial engineering or similar.
- Good working knowledge of English. Dutch language proficiency is considered a plus.
- You can start betweenMay andSeptember2026 for a period ofthree to sixmonths (exact timing to be discussed).
