Role: Senior Art Director Conceptual Integrated Designer(12-Months FTC)

Location: Johannesburg South Africa

About the role:

Join our dynamic and innovative in-house creative agency working with our client. Our team is dedicated to crafting engaging and persuasive content that resonates with audiences across both social and digital platforms. We collaborate with diverse departments to ensure our campaigns amplify our brand voice and presence. As a Conceptual Art Director for Integrated Design you will play a pivotal role in driving creative concepts and optimising content for various platforms all while working in an energetic and fast-paced environment.

As the Senior Art Director for Integrated Design youll work closely with the local and regional client manage your own work on the day-to-day running of local campaigns working within specified timeframes and budgets. The right candidate will also have the ability to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables are met by self-QC.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with the team toconceptualise campaigns roll out design and adaptationto the clients brief and exacting standards from the outset until completion including OOH digital in-store print andsocial.
  • Positively influencing clients with creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new creative concepts when appropriate.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Work with in house automation tools to set up large volume campaigns for production.
  • Produce high volume campaigns across all moving image channels.
  • Utilising After Affects to manually build bespoke requests for local markets.
  • Have a strong knowledge of the brand guidelines to act as a brand guardian.
  • Communicate and present projects & campaigns effectively to internal stakeholders and clients incorporating feedback to refine and iterate designs as needed.
  • Create inspiring and exciting content from repurposing reformatting of assets to ideation.
  • Be an entrepreneurial lead on the development of creative and output.
  • Keenly evaluate and monitor industry trends and brands AI research industry developments in branding automation and marketing to be at the forefront of creative excellence.
  • Proactivity and strong project management skills teamed with an aptitude for managing multiple varyingsized projects seamlessly.
  • Ability to deliver final artwork and toolkits on campaign digital and print based material.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Equivalent of a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design Visual Communication or related field
  • 8 years of professional experience in design artwork and production
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across various platforms and mediums
  • Experience working with multiple campaigns languages and digital channels.
  • Ability to engage and build rapport with clients and organise and influence them
  • Ability to take initiative think creatively and solve problems independently
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite basic Figma and an understanding of future-facing platforms with a desire to embrace new software and efficiency-led AI platforms
  • Strong design skills and comprehensive understanding of Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro and rendering/output settings.
  • Strong experience in Graphic Design and the full Adobe suite of programmes.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple delivery needs right first time
  • Appreciation of contemporary photography positioning and cropping with a skill for basic retouching
  • Strong typography layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • An understanding of responsive design across all digital platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design AI social technology and marketing to continually enhance the quality and effectiveness of our work
  • Experience working with motion using After Effects and Premiere Storyboarding Animation concepts & brand films.
  • An understanding of automation software and willingness to embrace them
  • The ability to talk through your ideas confidently with the team and clients
