Classroom Assistant, Summer Camps (Part-time Hourly) ESF Explore
Job Summary
ESF Explore invites passionate experienced and dedicated Classroom Assistants to deliver stimulating learning experiences during our Summer Camps from 29 June to 19 August 2026 (with the possibility of extending till August 2027).
Key Responsibilities
Support for Students:
- Supervise and support students ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Build positive relationships with students acting as a role model and responding appropriately to their individual needs.
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.
- Encourage students to participate interact positively with peers and engage in teacher-led activities.
- Foster students independence as appropriate to their age and needs.
- Attend to students personal requirements including social health physical hygiene first aid and welfare matters.
Support for Teachers:
- Assist teachers with classroom set-up and clearing of materials before and after lessons.
- Monitor student behaviour and report progress achievements or issues to the teacher promptly.
- Support the teacher actively in managing classroom activities and student engagement.
- Participate enthusiastically in all classroom activities including singing games and circle times.
Site Responsibilities & Classroom Set-Up:
- Be present in the playground at least 10 minutes before class to welcome students and parents warmly.
- Direct latecomers to classrooms and wait with students after class if parents are late picking them up.
- Perform administrative duties such as putting up signs distributing materials and assisting with general organisation.
- Check classrooms at the end of the day to ensure tidiness (the final responsibility lies with teachers).
- Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the Teacher-in-Charge during the camp day.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and ongoing communication with language teachers and the Teacher-in-Charge regarding any concerns or issues.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required to ensure clear communication and promote a cooperative team environment.
- Communicate politely and effectively with parents escalating any concerns promptly to the appropriate teacher or Teacher-in-Charge.
Requirements:
- At least one years experience working directly with children.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
- Preferred availability on weekdays (daytime) throughout the summer camp period. Applicants available only on Saturdays or for certain weeks during the summer may also be considered.
Candidates must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.
