As a Security Officer Patrol Ambassador in Port Jefferson NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic utilities location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas support access control activity and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by following site-specific procedures access protocols and other security-related policies at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and unusual activity in a calm problem-solving manner and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings operational areas parking areas and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require follow-up.
• Monitor entrances gates and restricted areas verify credentials when required and document security-related incidents observations and daily activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Communicate with site contacts supervisors and/or first responders regarding incidents access concerns and changing conditions that could impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state county or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
