Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM) has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We are seeking a highly motivated reliable and trustworthy individual with excellent customer service skills and detailed oriented individual to clean and maintain a commercial location. While previous experience in janitorial housekeeping or a related field is preferred it is not mandatory. All applicants must successfully pass HBM prescreen check. -Location:Aina Haina
-Schedule:SundayMonday Thursday Friday and Saturday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
(Day off: Tuesday and Wednesday)
-Compensation per hour: $17.50
-Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness in common areas of the facility
Communicate effectively and comprehend English
Interact with customers vendors and management
Clean and maintain various areas: sweeping mopping cleaning glass doors and mirrors maintaining restrooms and using a buffer machine in designated areas:office spacesparking lot and hallway/walk path.
Operate a vacuum for indoor cleaning
Clean restrooms and restock supplies
Collect and dispose of trash in designated areas
Lift trash from bins bend and navigate staircases
Stand and walk for long period of time
Push trash bins as required
Perform any other duties as assigned by HBM management.
-Skills/Qualifications:
Must pass HBM prescreen.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Hawaii drivers license preferred.
Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but we are willing to train
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
Strong public relations and communication skills
Applicants must be able to perform basic manual labor clean common areas frequently lift push pull and carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs) and be capable of reaching overhead grasping objects bending kneeling crawling squatting climbing stretching walking and navigating stairs throughout their shifts.
