Application Engineer

In this role you will work at the interface between customers and our internal product and engineering teams. You will play a key role in pre-sales technical support customer integration projects and post-sales product support. Success in this position means enabling our customers to integrate our detector solutions seamlessly into demanding security and industrial systems while strengthening long-term customer relationships and supporting business growth in the region.

Your role

As an Application Engineer you will act as a technical expert in customer discussions and projects. You will translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications support feasibility evaluations and contribute to defining competitive and robust solutions. You will also ensure that insights from customer cases are systematically fed back into product development and roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

A) Supporting Product Managers and Account Managers in pre-sales work

B) Provide after-sales product support for customers

C) Supporting Studying and evaluating potential applications and markets

What we expect

• Masters degree in electronics engineering or equivalent.

• 25 years of experience in a technical role related to opto-electronics semiconductor devices or X-ray systems.

• Experience in system integration or technical support.

• Ability to understand embedded firmware and software structures and functions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Customer-driven mindset and structured working approach.

• Excellent communication skills including strong listening and questioning capabilities.

• Willingness to travel.

• Fluent English both written and spoken.

• Willingness to communicate with our Global support team outside of normal working hours.

Experience in flat panel X-ray detectors or imaging systems is considered an advantage.

• Become familiar with DTs products technologies internal processes and key stakeholders.

• Take active ownership of selected customer cases and support ongoing pre-sales activities.

• Independently manage technical discussions in customer projects.

• Contribute to improving application documentation and internal knowledge sharing.

• Actively support integration and troubleshooting cases.

1224 months

• Become a recognized technical expert in selected application areas within security and industrial solutions.

• Contribute to roadmap discussions by providing structured application and market insights.

• Support expansion into new customer segments or applications in the region.
  

Location
Your location will be in the DT India office in Manesar Gurugram near New Delhi. This is a new position and you will work closely with DTs local team in the India office. You will be reporting to General Manager - India.
