Executive Assistant (Path to Chief of Staff) Remote (South Africa)

Our client is a rapidly growing Inc 5000 energy management advisory firm purpose built for multifacility operators expanding at a rate of 40% year-over-year. They helps multi-location organizations manage energy as a financial exposure by reducing cost controlling volatility and improving sustainability outcomes through data-driven portfolio management.
They help large multi-location organizations manage energy as a financial exposure. By partnering with major energy suppliers we structure and procure electricity and natural gas in a way that reduces cost and controls volatility across the portfolio. At the same time we leverage data to drive down consumption and support decarbonization initiatives improving overall efficiency. For the portfolios we support this often translates into hundreds of thousands of dollars annually in protected EBITDA that would have otherwise gone unmanaged or unrealized.
Because of our rapid growth our previous Virtual Assistant was just promoted to Operations. We are now looking for an incredibly high-powered proactive Executive Assistant to support one of the three owners.
The Opportunity: Your Path to Chief of Staff
This is not a traditional stagnant admin role. We are looking for an A-player with an operations mindset who can provide massive leverage to owner to focus on high-level business development.
For the right candidate who proves their capability executes at a high level and demonstrates strong leadership potential this role is positioned to transition into a Chief of Staff position within approximately one year. This path is performance-based and not guaranteed. Advancement requires demonstrated ownership operational excellence and the ability to drive outcomes independently. You will start by mastering the owners world and will eventually grow to drive KPIs and oversee department activity across the company. The ideal candidate operates with extreme ownership. If something is unclear you take initiative to define solve and execute without waiting for direction.
What Youll Do (The Day-to-Day Leverage)
As one of the owners right hand you will have full access to his world. You will be expected to be proactive not reactive offering thoughtful solutions to drive efficiencies.
- Inbox & Calendar Gatekeeper: Take full control of inbox and calendar. Organize his day prioritize tasks and draft communications masterfully in his specific voice and style.
- Tech & AI Optimization: Leverage AI tools to speed up workflows summarize data and create highly efficient daily operations.
- Partner Relationship Coordination: Support partner and client relationship management by ensuring follow-ups tracking communication and maintaining CRM accuracy. This role does not own relationships but ensures they are executed flawlessly.
- Workflow Mastery: Seamlessly balance and manage operations across Salesforce Trello and the inbox to keep business development moving.
- Cross-Departmental Resource: While your primary focus is supporting the owner you will also act as a bridging resource for our 3 main departments starting directly with the Operations team.
- Executive Leverage & Filtering: Act as a filter for owners time by identifying what requires his involvement vs. what can be handled or delegated elsewhere. Your success is measured by how much low-leverage work is removed from his day.

- Calendar optimized for high-leverage activities (BD partners exec work)
- 100% of tasks tracked and visible across systems (Salesforce/Trello)
- Reduction in ad hoc interruptions to Sal
- Timely follow-ups on all partner/client communication
Growth Path & Evolution
- Month 1-3: Master Sals style take over the inbox/calendar and learn the energy advisory business model.
- Month 4-9: Take ownership of partner relationship cycles integrate AI efficiencies and begin assisting the operations department with workflow management.
- Month 10-12: Demonstrate the ability to drive company KPIs oversee departmental activity and begin transitioning into a strategic Chief of Staff role.
