Job Summary

A for Effort is Jakartas leading premium tutoring center specializing in personalized lessons for international curricula (IB IGCSE AP) as well as National Plus and National curricula. All lessons are conducted in English and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality engaging learning experiences that build student confidence and academic success.

Tasks

We are seeking a full-time high-quality Math Teacher to join our growing team.

You will teach 1-on-1 private and semi-private lessons from our modern facility in South Jakarta.
Lessons are taught entirely in English and you must be fluent and comfortable teaching in English.
Students range from upper elementary to high school seniors with many preparing for IB IGCSE or AP exams.
This role is on-site only no remote teaching.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Math at all levels including higher-level classes for high school seniors.
Deliver personalized engaging lessons adapted to each students needs.
Prepare students for international curriculum assessments and exams.
Maintain accurate lesson records and progress updates.
Collaborate with our team to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education or a related field (Masters degree a plus).
Advanced subject knowledge and ability to teach higher-level math (experience teaching IB A-Level is preferred).
Minimum 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience preferred.
Native or near-native English proficiency (minimum 8/10 rating).
Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays.
Willing to work overtime if needed.
Committed to working full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
