PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Reporting to and assisting the Lead Picker the Picker will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Distribution Center as described below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Always follow all general safety rules and guidelines to eliminate accidental injury
- Instruct and train new employees as needed
- Complete all required paperwork
- Operate a forklift
- Operate an order picker
- Must be able to work at elevated heights
- Must be able to read tape measures scales and gauges
- Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Cycle Count locations
- Monitor aisle for Housekeeping by assignment
- Follow Standard Work document instructions (written)
- Monitor and correct unsafe Housekeeping issues outside of assigned aisle
- Perform all other duties as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- The ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with few concrete variables in standardized situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check employment verification and drug screening.
- Positive and Verifiable Work History.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Push pull carry and lift 75 lbs.
- Walking standing stretching bending stooping twisting reaching grasping and repetitive movements.
- Talk hear read write and comprehend English.
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Work near moving mechanical parts.
- Must be able to work in moderate noise up to 83 decibels.
