Job Summary

To support business intelligence initiatives

Minimum Qualifications and Certifications

Degree or diploma in computer science information systems statistics or mathematics
Minimum of five years experience in a BI Tester role
Business Intelligence or Data Testing related certifications
Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate
Data Analyst Associate Power BI
SQL Server Database Development or Administration
ETL Development or Data Integration certification
Certified Agile Tester
Data Quality and Validation certification

Technical Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience in T-SQL for data validation query development and test scripting
Minimum of 3 years experience testing SSIS and ETL processes
Minimum of 4 years experience testing and verifying Power BI dashboards and reports
Minimum of 2 years experience testing data marts including schema validation and data accuracy

Documentation Requirements

CV must clearly demonstrate formal education qualifications
Copies of qualifications listed on CV must be provided

Scope of Work
BI Testing and Quality Assurance

Designed and executed test plans and test cases for ETL processes data integration workflows data marts and reporting platforms
Performed data validation and reconciliation between source systems and target BI systems
Conducted functional integration system regression and performance testing on BI solutions and data pipelines
Identified data quality issues logged defects and tracked resolution
Validated correctness of business logic in BI reports dashboards and analytics solutions

Collaboration and Documentation

Collaborated with BI developers report developers business analysts and stakeholders
Participated in Agile and Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning reviews and retrospectives
Maintained testing documentation including test cases results defect logs and sign off reports
Assisted with user acceptance testing and end user validation

Tools and Platforms

Microsoft SQL Server using T-SQL
SSIS for ETL workflow and transformation logic testing
Power BI for visual data accuracy and report logic validation
Data Marts for schema validation and consistency testing

Reporting and Communication

Provided regular testing status updates risk assessments and defect summaries
Participated in progress meetings testing reviews and delivery readiness discussions
