Job Summary
Job Summary (Solution Architect)
- Serve as Solution Architect for the MCP System application leading system and sub-system enhancements.
- Perform detailed analysis functional design application development code review solution architecture triaging and testing to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Act as subject matter expert on implementation of complex MCP system functionality.
- Provide expertise in technical documentation and perform data fixes to the application.
- Develop expert-level Java applications using approved frameworks in both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Conduct code reviews and provide guidance on programming best practices for team members.
- Ensure compliance with Clients IT Services Branch policies standards and guidelines.
- Participate in Joint Application Requirements (JAR) and Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions to gather and validate system requirements.
- Provide input review and signoff on business requirements documents design artifacts and requirements traceability matrices.
- Analyze and triage system issues determine root cause and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and program staff to resolve defects and support testing activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including best practices lessons learned and knowledge transfer materials.
- Conduct knowledge transfer via documentation code commenting cross-training and job shadowing to ensure continuity and state personnel upskilling.
- Report regularly on project status business processes incident resolutions and test outcomes to the contract manager.
- Minimum required experience includes 25 years in solution architecture enterprise integration Java development Oracle databases and third-party integration with recent experience in cloud environments and public pension/government benefit systems.
- Proficiency with tools such as JIRA Bitbucket Service Now SharePoint and Confluence.
