Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Correctional Nursing
Location: Moravia NY
Shift: Night Shift 5x8 Hours (10:00 PM 6:00 AM) (Includes 1 Day Shift per week: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM)
Duration: 26 Weeks (potential extension up to 52 weeks)
Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care coordinating treatment plans and supporting interdisciplinary healthcare teams while ensuring safety and compliance with facility regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to individuals in a correctional setting
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments
- Perform health screenings case finding and patient education
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care decisions
- Supervise and provide guidance to LPNs graduate nurses and support staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Participate in healthcare committees and team meetings as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN License and current registration
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a secure and structured environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
